Vincent McInerney

McINERNEY, VINCENT DENNIS, (Vince), born in New York City, June 19, 1928, passed away on July 8, 2018 at his home in Miami, Florida. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 68 years, Evelyn Dorothy (Schiff) McInerney, and is survived by four children; Elizabeth (Dave) Woods, Maureen McInerney (Frank) Evans, Karen (Al) Gallagher, and Anthony (Debra) McInerney; six loving grandchildren, Sara (Harold) Sandberg, Bryan (Jill) Prather, Mary Irene (Justin) Neese, David (Amanda) Evans, Michael McInerney, & Megan McInerney; six great-grandchildren, Hailey, Jake and McKenna Prather, Vincent Evans, Kaley Betz, and Charles Xavier Neese. Vince is also survived by many nieces and nephews in CT, NY, NJ, VA., and GA. He was active in the US Navy from 1945-1949 and was awarded the American Area and Victory Medals. He spent over 40 years in the Food Industry and founded McInerney Brokerage in 1971. Vince was ordained a Catholic Permanent Deacon at St. Louis Parish, Pinecrest, FL on May 3, 1986 and took early retirement to enter volunteer work for the church. He and his dear wife Evelyn founded and served as heads of two church-related not-for-profit ministry organizations: Trinity Stewardship and Abba Spiritual Renewal Parish Missions. Friends are welcome to visit on Saturday July 14, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. St. Louis Catholic Church, 7270 S.W. 120 Street, Pinecrest, FL with a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. 11655 S.W. 117 Ave. Miami, FL, immediately after the Funeral.
