Vi T. Phung

Vi T. Phung passed away in her sleep on March 28, 2020.

Vi was a down to earth, kind and generous person. Family was first for her. She spent most of her life helping to take care of other people. She touched each of her relatives, friends and strangers in a special way, whether lending a helping hand when it was needed, making someone feel special by cooking a delicious dish or by knitting a unique and beautiful outfit.

She loved children. The less fortunate always had a special place in her heart. Although she never had any of her own, she often helped her siblings raise their children. To her nieces and nephews, who called her by her nickname, she was simply loving “Auntie Yvonne”.

Vi was a person of courage. As a cancer survivor, she fought it without fear and without complaint, a real inspiration. Most of all she will be remembered for her laughs and giggles.

In lieu of flowers, please make an offering of Catholic Mass for the repose of her soul or make a donation to a charity of your choice that truly helps children in need, especially orphans, in Vi’s memory.

Vi is survived by her brothers and sisters and her nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be private.
