Thomas Allen Linehan born in Miami, FL on Nov. 20, 1946 passed away, Oct. 14, 2019 with a confident smile on his face (but fingers crossed), he went to meet Jesus.
Tom was the third son of Jack and Elizabeth (Carson). His older brothers are Patrick and Mike Linehan. Tom is preceded in death by his brother Daniel, who died infancy. He also has a younger sister, Diane.
Tom is survived by his Domestic Partner, Leslee Drudge.
Between 1964 and 1968, Tom joined the US Air Force as a Medic/Radiology Tech, serving in Alaska.
In 1972, Tom received his Bachelors of Criminology, from Florida State University. While attending FSU, Tom was a proud member of PI Kappa Alpha.
In 1974, Tom earned his Masters of Science in Management, from Florida International University. He was a member of FIU's first graduating class.
During Tom's long and distinguished career in Law Enforcement, Tom was a member of the Dade County Public Safety Department (later the Metro-Dade Police Department), retiring January 13, 2001 as a Sergeant from the Headquarters Division. He was also a member of the US Marshalls and DEA with the US Treasury. Tom shared his experience with others by teaching security courses to many of our local institutions, including Jackson Memorial Police Department.
Tom was the Founding President of the Law Enforcement Emerald Society of South Florida.
