Shirley was my roommate at Ball State in 1960 and my maid of honor in 1962 at my marriage to Richard A. Thompson. We had lost touch over the years. I'm so sad to have found her here. My condolences to her family.

My heart is heavy after hearing about Shirley's passing. My mind is flooded with so many conversations, laughs, and good times we shared. I remember meeting with her a few times when I last visited Miami in 2013--the good wine and laughs at her condo and a nice meal at an Italian restaurant in the Falls on my last night in Miami. I loved Shirley, and I will miss her very much. I send my deep condolences to her family.
