SHARYN H (CHARLES) KOENIG
Sharyn left this world on January 4, 2021 with her angel wings in place. She passed on the anniversary of her fathers passing. We know he was there to escort her through the gates of heaven.
Sharyn was born November 16, 1955 to Adele and Martin Charles (both deceased) in Newark New Jersey. She spent her childhood and most of her adult life in New Jersey where she received a degree from The College of New Jersey. After completing college she began working for the Export Import Bank of the United States in New York City. Sharyn was a dedicated and committed employee and became the Managing Director for the east coast and west coast. She moved to Palmetto Bay Florida in 2007 to continue her career with ExIm bank. Throughout her illness she amazingly continued to work from home. She worked for 29 years for ExIm bank.
After moving to Florida, Sharyn fell in love with orchids and begun a new hobby of growing and caring for over a 100 orchids. She got hours of pleasure from them. She also loved making beautiful jewelry traveling on weekends to show her wares. She became known for her beautiful pieces.
Sharyn was a kind and compassionate person who will always be remembered for her gorgeous infectious smile and her piercing crystal blue eyes.
Sharyn is survived by her husband of 17 1/2 years, John Koenig, her Two sisters Stephanie (Bill) Hanson of Mahwah New Jersey and Renee (Rob) Mahoney of Port Reading New Jersey. Her mother-in-law Bonnie Koenig of Pueblo CO., her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Hal and Deb Koenig of Bayfield CO., She also survived by her nieces Emily and Abigail Hanson of Mahwah New Jersey Sarah Casavecchia of Sewaren, New Jersey, Mikey Koenig of Louisville Ky. She is also survived by her nephews Ryan Johnson of Jersey City New Jersey and Brent Koenig of Midland Tx. She left behind her cherished fur babies TJ and Trixie who gave her a lot of comfort.
A celebration of life will be January 16, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Services will be held at Stanfill Funeral Home, 10545 S. Dixie Highway, Miami Fl, 33156 phone: 305-667-2518.
