Robert E Benjamin

Robert E. Benjamin, a longtime resident and public servant of Miami, passed away on November 15, 2022 at the age of 73. Born in Miami on July 4, 1949, Robert served two tours in Vietnam as part of the Army’s 101st Airborne Division and served thirty years as a letter-carrier in Miami. It was on his mail route that he met his devoted wife, Nancy, who survives his death, along with his daughter Stephanie, his step-daughters and sons, and six grandchildren. He embodied kindness, strength, and service and to know him was everyone’s honor. He was the best listener, loved reading – especially to his grandchildren, and once held the world record for longest continuous ping-pong game.
