Patricia A. Wilson passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020. Patricia was born October 7, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Manhattan, graduating from Julia Richman High School. She moved to Miami in the late 1940's with her late mother, Hazel Leisher. Her late father, Robert Leisher was a stockbroker in NYC.
Patricia was married to the love of her life, Charles S. Wilson Jr for 33 years until his passing in 2005, making their home at Lakeridge in Miami. She and Charley loved to travel the US in their GMC RV, seeing the country and meeting up with their GMC Club friends. They also traveled the world to China, Europe, Bali and Australia bringing back many pictures, postcards and souvenirs. Pat had a quick wit and was a sharp businesswoman as the President of Foreign Commerce Inc in Miami for over 35 years, which she ran with her son, Harry R. Wheeler III, shipping many hotel and building supplies and materials to the Caribbean. Patricia loved to sew and made many outfits for work and vacations.
Patricia is survived by her son, Harry R. Wheeler III, his wife, Ann, of Miami, and her daughter, Linda Wheeler Bell and her husband Christopher, of Syracuse, NY. Gramma Pat is also survived by her grandchildren, Harry R. Wheeler IV and his wife Sara Zhang of San Francisco, California, Tracey E. Wheeler of Austin, Texas, Kyle M. Bell and his wife Paola Mendoza Vara, of New York City and, Mackenzie R. Bell of New York City.
Services to be held at 1:30pm at Woodlawn North Cemetery on Monday, March 2, 2020. Donations may be made in Patricia's honor to The Alzheimer's Association. https://www.alz.org
