Patricia B. Arthur

Patricia Bechely Arthur, 91, gently and peacefully went to see the Lord this past Wednesday.

Patricia is survived by a large and adoring family, her four sons, Mike, William, David Arthur (1955-2014) , and Bruce, 15 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a congregation at Kendall United Methodist Church.
Patricia is most-remembered for being a kind and loving person to all, her sharp tact, quick-witted humor, and her involvement with the Women’s Club. An avid follower of culture and art, Patricia was as elegant as she was an intellectual.
Growing-up with her brother as the children of a prominent Canadian dentist, Patricia was raised in the town of Seaforth. During the summers, she vacationed at their family cottage in Bayfield—a touristy Lakeside Village in the Province of Ontario.
After being accepted to the famed Columbia University in New York with a scholarship in journalism, Patricia’s stayed in Canada to attend the University of Waterloo because of WWII worries.                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

 After graduation, she took a short vacation, but a long stay to Miami Beach where she met her husband of 56 years. Patricia spent most of her time loving and caring for her four-boys, all while helping her husband become a successful South Florida Architect.
Because of her strong Canadian heritage, Patricia never formally became an American Citizen, however, she embraced America as her own, especially the University of Miami Football team where her husband had been an active Faculty member for almost 20-years.
 With God’s helping hand, Patricia is now walking the sandy beaches of Bayfield with her family again.
In lieu of flowers, a donation of any kind to Kendall United Methodist Church would be welcomed.
