Tribute

In loving memory of Noel Kenneth Tavio, March 15, 2021, Miami, Florida

Noel Kenneth Tavio entered this world on July 6, 1970 in Brooklyn, New York. He weighed 8 lbs and was 20 inches long.  He was the 1st born son and was a beautiful and wonderful baby. He was so smart.

He knew how to read and write many words including his first and last name. Noel was the kind of child that every parent dreams of having smart, respectful, and most of the time did what he was told to do. He moved to Miami when he was 2 1/2 yrs old and at that time his first brother was born. He was so great with his baby brother and the two that followed years later.

Noel was a proud and strong man. He was fiercely protective of those he knew and loved. He was independent and strong. He loved to play guitar and he ran track in high school. Music was a huge part of his life. While in college, Noel was Promotions Director of WVUM. He also took great pride in his vintage video game collection.
Noel loved to travel and had a wandering spirit.  He was always learning and earned his Master’s degree in Diplomacy in 2014. He graduated University of Miami in 1992 with a double major of Political Science and International Relations.  Education was extremely important to him and he was an avid reader.  He believed in learning every day. Noel went on to become a successful stock broker. He was very accomplished and was extremely dedicated to his clients.
He married his high school sweetheart and built a family of his own. Noel’s proudest accomplishment was being a father. His daughter Hannah Noelle and son Nicholas Hunter were the world to him. He wanted to provide for them and teach them courage, strength, and generosity. He loved to play video games with them, take them to the beach, and teach them about music. He was thrilled to take them to Rush concerts, which was his favorite band since childhood. Noel wanted his children to be happy, safe, healthy, and wanted to give them the world.
Noel leaves behind a loving family, friends, and associates: his mother Layda Duda and her husband Kent. His father Noel Cayetan Tavio, and his brothers Oliver, Jonathan with his wife Tina, and Fabian with wife Esther and their son Damien. Noel’s loving wife Heather, daughter Hannah, and son Nicholas will miss him dearly. Noel also was very close to his caregiver Elsa. They had a deep bond and friendship. Noel also leaves behind a large extended family of cousins, aunts, uncles, his Duda family, and his Godmother Heledy, and friends from past and present.
Noel battled Parkinson’s Disease for over two decades. He was always fighting and working to maintain his independence. He never gave up and those who knew him marveled at his strength and courage. No matter what he faced, he would give you a sweet smile and his trademark “thumbs up.”

Rest In Peace dearest Noelito. We will make you proud and honor you by mirroring your loving and generous heart and your relentless courage.
