NELLIE ELAINE (Lambert, Walker) PLUMMER
Nellie Elaine Plummer went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Sunny Hills ALF at the age of 96. She was a member of the Hialeah Drum and Bugle Corp as a youth and traveled to Cuba with them. After WW2 she worked as an aide at the Military Hospital at what is now the Biltmore Hotel. Elaine lived a full life having spent a number of years with Walgreens as a traveling security agent, then time in the medical field in doctor’s offices, and finally at Baptist Hospital where she worked for 25 years, retiring at the age of 80 years old. She lived in her home in Hialeah for 65 years and was a member of the Hialeah Woman’s Club for over 50 years There she served as President and on many committees receiving a number accolades at the state and local level. Her faith was undeniable and her service to several churches was a testament to her love for the Lord. She will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her parents Chester and Gladys Lambert, her siblings Chester and Francis as well as her husband Carl Plummer and Arthur Walker. She is survived by her children, Cherie W. Branning (Charles E.) and Sandra E. Haliburton, grandchildren Kimberly Zeggert, Tom Rabatie, and Desiree Haliburton, as well as great grandchildren Zachary and Hannah Zeggert, Taira, Madison and Tyler Rabatie.
