McKEE, Michael, 93, went home to the Lord after a long battle with dementia on October 19, 2017 to be reunited with his beloved wife Gloria and their baby grandson Daniel. He is survived by his greatest treasures, his eight children, Patricia, Carol (Hugh), Michael (Beth), Robert (Maureen), Nancy, Richard (Kathleen), Eileen, and Stacey (David); seven grandchildren, Michael, Erin (Dimitri), Nicholas (Cassandra), Lara (David), Katarina, Jaclyn, and Richard; and two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Emilie. Mike was a Navy officer in WWII and returned to active duty as a salvage diver during the Korean War. He graduated from Columbia University with undergraduate and MBA degrees, and worked almost 40 years for the Port Authority of NY as an industrial engineer. He lived his retirement years between Staten Island, NY and Miami, FL before moving permanently to Miami. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Parish in NY and St. Louis in Miami. A visitation will be held from 6-7 PM with Mass of Christian Burial at 7:00 PM in Miami at St. Louis Catholic Church on Monday, October 23. Staten Island services and burial will follow. The family asks in lieu of flowers that you make a donation to a worthy cause and remember Mike in your prayers.
