Matthew John Worley

WORLEY, Matthew John, 49 years old, passed away on December 28, 2020. Born in Tampa June 4, 1971, Matt was a lifelong resident of Miami. Matt had a kind heart and so many interests, including music, art, reading, fishing, sports, and going to the beach. He was planning a fishing trip to Duck Key in the near future. Almost every day was filled with some time spent playing guitar, painting or sketching, and reading a favorite from his mountain of books. In his younger years Matt travelled around the country to at least 16 states, including many national parks. He loved fishing in the Yellowstone River. Later, Matt enjoyed a trip to London.
Matt is survived by his mother, Carol Nagengast of Miami, and cousins John Springer, of West Virginia, Tom Springer, and Kathryn Springer, both of North Florida.
Interment service will take place Wednesday, 1/6/2021 at 1pm outdoors, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery, 11411 N.W. 25 Street, Doral (masks required).

I know you are at peace, Matt, sitting with your books or paintbrush, and waiting to play guitar for the angels. You might be reading a book now, unless, as often happened, you have misplaced your reading glasses.
