Beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Margaret Arnal Pierson passed peacefully July 3 in Miami, Florida. She was under Hospice care with her son at her side. The first of Rene and Margaret Arnal’s 8 children, Margaret was born May 20, 1925 in Tiltonsville, Ohio. Petite and fashionable, Margaret was known for her determined nature and athletic abilities. She married William (Bill) Pierson in August 20, 1947; and the couple moved to Cleveland while Bill completed his degree at Cleveland State University. Always dedicated to family, Margaret and Bill raised eight children while living in Sheffield Lake, Ohio; Rockville, Maryland; they retired in Pinehurst, North Carolina in 1975. In Pinehurst, Margaret and Bill enjoyed playing many rounds of golf and traveling to see friends and family. After Bill’s passing in 2000, Margaret continued to play golf, bowl, participate in the Senior Olympics, and travel across the country visiting her extended family, always impeccably dressed often in her favorite shade of blue. Margaret is survived by two of her sisters, her eight children, twenty grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation will be 10:30 am followed by a Celebration of Life Mass at 11:30 July 28th, 2018 at St. John Neumann Parrish Miami, Florida. A second service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Pinehurst, NC 11:30 am August 18, 2018. In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances to Catholic Hospice of Miami which provided wonderful care and support for Margaret and her family.
