With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved, Luis Hernando Patino, on September 8th, 2023.
Luis was a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. A man whose life was a testament to resilience, determination, and the power of love. His journey led him down various life paths from raising himself at the age of 13 working odd jobs to then becoming a successful Pressman and owning his own print shop; more recently Luis’ time was spent working alongside his son. Although he had many accomplishments, one of his greatest achievement was the sacrifice he made to bring his family from Colombia to the United States, in search of a better life. He was a selfless, loving soul.
Luis found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He adored spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren, Alexander and Stella, who were the apples of his eye.
Luis had an appreciation for life, and he loved recounting stories from his youth. Whether it was tales of his adventurous motorcycle journey around the whole country of Colombia with his best friend or the heartwarming story of when he first met our beautiful Mother, his storytelling brought laughter and smiles to those around him.
Luis leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth, his son, Luis Gabriel "Leo," his daughter, Natalie, and his cherished grandchildren, Alexander and Stella. In heaven, he is now reunited with their daughter, Noemi and son, Jose.
Together, we will carry forward his enduring love for family, a true testament to the enduring power of love.
