Linda Ann Hansen (Miller), 73, of Miami, FL, passed away on June 6th, 2022 after a long fought battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Linda was born on June 27th, 1948 to Karl and Ruth Miller in Chicago, IL. After Linda graduated from Coral Gables High School in 1966, she went on to study Interior Design at Florida State University and was an active member of Sigma Kappa Sorority.
After graduating with a degree in Interior Design, she became a Flight Attendant with Eastern Airlines for 19 years. Thereafter, she spent her next 25 years as a preschool teacher at Pinewood Acres School.
In her free time, Linda enjoyed being by the ocean, watching game shows (she was a contestant on The Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right), traveling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Linda was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her daughters and grandchildren Kristin McDonough (Connor 6), Karli Stamer (Owen 15 and William 11), Lindsey Patterson (Sean 15 and Ashlynn 11), and Ashley Soderholm (Aubrey 6 months). She is also survived by the father of her children, James (Jim) Hansen.
Services will be held at Stanfill Funeral Home 10545 S Dixie Hwy, Pinecrest, FL 33156 on Friday, June 17th. There will be a visitation from 3:00 - 5:00 pm followed by a service beginning at 5:00 pm. Afterward, a celebration of life will be held at the family’s home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research as Linda felt very strongly about their research efforts. Another option is to please donate to her caring and loving nurses who went above and beyond making Lindy, as they called her, as comfortable as she could possibly be throughout her last several years.
