Tribute

Lester Brockmann passed away at the age of 90 on January 18, 2024. Thanks to his devoted caregivers, Lester was able to stay in his home through the end of his life.
He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on December 17, 1933. He is predeceased by parents Arthur Brockmann and Flora Meyr and his sister Loretta Stevenson. He is survived by his wife Annemarie and his children, Leslie McConachie (Rich) of Lake Placid, FL, Kerry Rubio (Jose) and Mark Brockmann (Tiffany) of North Carolina and grandsons Patrick, Scott, and Kevin McConachie, and Clay and Trent Brockmann and granddaughter Lanie Brockmann.
Lester went to Lutheran High School in St. Louis and graduated from Missouri School of Mines in Rolla, MO as a Petroleum Engineer. He was a charter member of the Eta Chapter of Beta Sigma Psi Fraternity, where he made lifelong friends.  Lester enlisted in the United States Navy and served in their Critical Skills Program.  
He worked his entire 36-year career for Texaco – 20 years in Colombia, Trinidad & Tobago, and Venezuela. He retired as Manager of Drilling in Latin America and West Africa.
Lester was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Kendall for 46 years and will be remembered for singing in the choir, his service as President of the congregation, and as longtime Financial Secretary and Elder. He received the Lutheran Good Samaritan Award.
Visitation will be held at Concordia Lutheran Church on February 4th at 3 pm, followed by a funeral service at 4 pm with a reception following. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Concordia Lutheran Church.
