Kwai Hing Woc

Kwai Hing Woc, 74 years old, longtime resident of Miami, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Born in China, she left at a young age and was raised along with her sister in Hong Kong by her mother Sam Chan. She married Tong Yean and raised four children as a nurturing housewife in Hong Kong before moving to the United States in 1985, settling in Miami. There she continued to raise her family with wisdom and love while adapting to life as a single mother in a new country. She worked closely with her sister-in-laws and kept very close touch with her relatives. Kwai was an active member of the Chinese Baptist Church of Miami, participating in the choir as well as Senior Adult Fellowship activities. Her exemplary skills of cooking many different cuisines, playing mahjong, and floral gardening were unparalleled. She traveled all over the world, always eager to have new experiences. Kwai was predeceased by her husband, Tong Yean, to whom she was married for 18 years.
She is survived by her sister, Sau Yin Wong, her six children, Adam Yean, Jacqueline Carini daughter-in-law, Irene Yean, John Lam son-in-law, Andes Yean and Eva Yean, and three loving grandchildren, Jonathan Lam, Jordan Lam and Amelia Yean. Eight sister-in-laws, five brother-in-laws, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Viewing will take place from 6-10 PM Monday, February 18, 2019 with the Memorial Service held the next morning at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Stanfill Funeral Homes, 10545 South Dixie Highway, Miami, FL 33156. She will be buried at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn Park South on 11655 SW 117 Avenue, Miami, FL 33186.
