Ken Vorce, 72, passed away peacefully at home on April 23, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with head and neck cancer. His strength and courage was truly inspirational. He was known for his bravery and determination. Born in Watertown, New York on September 27, 1946, he then later moved to Monroeville, PA. Ken was a Professional and Civil and Traffic Engineer for fifty years. He worked for PennDot and the Florida Department of Transportation. He was currently employed with Lakes Engineering, Inc. A man of few words, Ken had a great love for fishing, sports, poker and was a great ball player. Ken is survived by his wife, Dari; four children, Priscilla, Shane (Dana), Christopher (Pamela)and Courtney (Eli) and six grandchildren, Luke, Drew, Leah, and Hanna, and Alyssa and Tatum. He is also survived by his sister, Kim (George); nieces, Alison, Julie, Megan and niece Heather and Nephew Heath. His was predeceased by his sister, Karen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Legion Post 133, 16401 SW 90th Avenue., Palmetto Bay 33157, Attention: Lisa. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 6 to 8 PM at Stanfill Funeral Home, 10545 South Dixie Hwy., Miami, FL 33156. Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Post 133 following the service.
