Tribute

Kenneth Jack Fordik passed away peacefully at his home on December 30, 2020 at the age of 81. Ken was a people-person, with a wonderful sense of humor, and a warm easy-going demeanor.
Ken was born in Kalispell Montana to Jack and Edna Fordik, and Ken carried an affection for his hometown with him all of his life. He graduated from the University of Montana with a B.S. in Business and from California State University Long Beach with an MBA. Over the course of his career, Ken’s jobs took him to three states (California, New Jersey, and Florida) and the Virgin Islands; however, for the majority of the last 40 years he lived in his home in Palmetto Bay, Florida.
Ken worked for over 40 years in human resources and was dedicated to continually improving the programs and services offered at the companies where he was employed, ensuring the needs of employees were met, and wholeheartedly investing in people and companies to ensure their success. He was a beloved boss and coworker. In his long career, Ken work for numerous companies including everything from Fortune 500 companies to smaller family-owned firms. Some of the more familiar names include: Warner Lambert, Burdines, Blockbuster Video, Roadhouse Grill, Pollo Tropical, S.C. Johnson Wax, and Q.E.P.
Ken’s favorite activities included spending time with family and friends, traveling and trying new things, watching football, playing golf (in his younger days), and participating in civic and charity events. Sunday brunch with family members and friends was a favorite activity of his for many years. His enduring enjoyment of Snoopy, who is funny, loyal, and good-natured, along with his pal Woodstock, will always remind us of Ken. He was a dedicated and loving father who was enormously proud of his three children. He was also a doting Grampa who adored his two granddaughters.
Ken is survived by Ann, his wife of 57 years, his daughter Chrisanne Fordik, his daughter Diane England, son-in-law Jack England, granddaughters Zoe England and Audrey England, and his sister Sylvia Gray. Ken was preceded in death, in 2016, by his son Scott Fordik.
