Katheryn Ann Deliere 83, passed away on 11 June, 2017 at her home in Oxford, Florida with her husband and daughter at her side. She was born on January 12th, 1934 in Oklahoma to David and Naomi (Reynolds), Smith.

Kathy grew up in Miami Springs, Florida. She graduated from Miami Edison High School in Miami in 1950 and married Robert Chandler Deliere Sr, better known as Bob in 1952 in Miami, Florida. They were happily married for 64 years and she was a loving mother to three children.

Kathy enjoyed tennis, entertaining friends and family and was an avid fly fishing enthusiast. She also was instrumental in starting the Invitational Women’s Fly Fishing Tournament in the Florida Keys, where they lived for 35 years.
She was a Founding Board Member of the Everglades Protection Association and past manager and Life Time Member of the Islamorada Fishing Club and earned her Private Pilot’s License and Instrument Rating at the age of 50.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Deborah A. Deliere and son Robert C. Deliere, Jr., Her parents David and Naomi Smith, brother, William Smith, sister, Betty Joe Ogilvie.
Kathy, is survived by her spouse Bob and her daughter Lynn Forristall (Scott), her grandchildren; Daniel Forristall (Jodi), Christina Forristall, David Deliere, and Justin Allen Forristall (Justine); and her great-grandchildren; Shelby Forristall, Kaylee Larsen and Adelyn Marie Forristall. She also leaves behind many good friends who will miss her.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Saturday morning, June 17th at 11:00, at 6200 S.W. 77th Avenue, Miami. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at that time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Katheryn Ann Deliere to the Cornerstone Hospice Care Center, The Village Team.
