Danny (Joon) Leong, registered nurse at Jackson South Community Hospital passed away suddenly and unexpectedly of a massive heart attack on January 17th while at work. A member of Saint Louis Catholic Church for over 30 years, Danny had been active in the choir, ushers, Bible Study, Christian Family Movement, Young Adults, Evangelization Training Ministry and Knights of Columbus.

As a registered nurse, Danny known for his light hearted humor, brought joy to his patients, coworkers and the doctors when he worked at Mercy Hospital, Gastromed and Jackson Hospital.

A native of Singapore but proud to be a US citizen, Danny is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Judy, his 3 children Rachel, Kristen and Jacob and in Singapore his sister, Maureen and brother, Ghilbert and his dad, George.

Viewing will be Sunday, January 21st at Stanfill Funeral Home from 4-7pm. Mass of the Resurrection at 1pm at Saint Louis Catholic Church on Monday, January 22nd with burial to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery.
