Jonathan David Parker

March 2, 1995 ~ February 14, 2018 (age 22) 22 Years Old

Jonathan David Parker was born in Pembroke Pines, Florida on March 2nd, 1995. We are deeply sadden by his passing on February 14th, 2018. Jonathan was raised to be a caring and respectful young man who lived life to the fullest. He was loved by many and was an invaluable member of our family. Jon started playing sports at a young age and particularly had a knack for football. He was a three-year varsity football player at Miami Palmetto Senior High School where he graduated in 2013. Jonathan went on to Florida Gulf Coast University where he joined the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He was scheduled to graduate in December of 2018 with a degree in business. He loved his many great friends and enjoyed all kinds of activities including; snowboarding, boating, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed family trips and any new adventure, and was looking forward to a return trip to the Galapagos Islands this summer. Jon’s greatest passions were traveling, and helping others. While attending FGCU he became involved with  “GIVE,” a volunteer organization, traveling to Thailand and Nicaragua. While there he helped teach children to speak English and educated communities on sustainable living. Jonathan intended to continue this volunteer work after graduation. Jon planned to marry his best friend, Rachel Lynam, and raise a family to join him on his worldwide travels. He was very goal oriented and looked forward to combining his business aspirations with his desire to help others. In his far too few years, Jonathan has made a positive impact on the lives of many people in several countries. He truly lived what he would call a “fulfilled” life.
