Dr. John F Stack Jr, Founding Dean of the Steven J Green School of International and Public Affairs at Florida International University passed away on June 23,2022.
Dr. Stack was born on July 8,1950 in Brockton, Massachusetts, the son of John F. and Margaret (Mahoney) Stack. He graduated from Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts with Highest Honors in 1972.He received his Masters an PhD from the University of Denver School of international and Public Affairs in 1974.
He began his teaching career at Florida International University in 1976. He served as Founding Dean of the Steven J Green school of International and Public Affairs and Director of the Jack D Gordon Institute for Public Policy.
During his 46 year career, he mentored thousands of Students and led the initiative to establish the College of Law.
He is survived by his two sisters Pamela M and Nancy Stack Savoie, his best friend Mark B Rosenberg, his Godson Benjamin Rosenberg , Ginelle Rosenberg and several cousins.
