John K. Schulte passed away November 18, 2018 after a multi-year battle with a deficient heart. Born in 1932, he was a Miami resident since 1944 and distinguished himself through a lifetime career of business accomplishments and charitable work. Public Relations Director of the Orange Bowl festival, Public Relations Department Hialeah Race Course, Partner and Co-Owner of 3 public relations consulting firms, for 40 years representing local, national and international clients including Citizens Federal Savings Bank, The Graham Companies Town of Miami Lakes, American Sightseeing Tours, Allstate Insurance Company, Sperry System Management, City Gas Company of Florida, Greyhound Bus Lines and the Government Tourism Offices of 3 foreign nations. Forty year member of the Society of American Travel Writers and first Floridian to be elected a “Marco Polo” Lifetime member of this preeminent professional travel communications Organization. Member of the Iron Arrow Society, the highest honor attainable at the University of Miami since 1954. Board of Directors of Citizens Federal Savings Bank. For the past 15 years served on the Board of Governors and Board Secretary of UM’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center/University of Miami Hospital and Clinics in downtown Miami Health care district. Predeceased by second wife of 43 years, Judy H. Schulte, his world-wide travel companion and constant supporter in his numerous accomplishments. Survived by two daughters from his first marriage, Kathy Ann Graivier and Dvarah Lynn Schulte. Per his wishes, he is being cremated. A Memorial Service will take place at 7PM on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Stanfill Funeral Home.
