Jerome Rocco Salata

Jerome “Jerry” Rocco Salata, 75, of Miami, Florida, passed away, Tuesday, April 3, 2018.
Jerry was born October 31, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York. He served in the US Navy for over 20 years where he earned numerous commendations and medals; National Defense Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, 2 Meritorious Unit Commendation Medals and 3 Navy Achievement Medals. He later was a founding member of the Department of Homeland Security where he served as a US Customs Inspector for an additional 20 years.
Jerry is survived by his wife Isabel of 52 years, daughter Marianne, son Jerry and grandson Roberto. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all.
A military funeral honors ceremony and burial will be held at 1:15pm, Monday, April 8, 2018 at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449.
