Helen R Marlar, age 93, longtime resident of Palmetto Bay, FL, went to her Heavenly Home early Tuesday morning, April 6, 2021. She was born on January 2, 1928 in Birmingham, AL and moved to Miami, FL with her husband, Wallace “Wally” A. Marlar, 64 years ago. Our Beautiful, Loving and Wonderful Mom was a wonderful Wife, Mom, Aunt and Homemaker. Her hobbies were reading mysteries and traveling. Mom is now with her precious loved ones who have departed before her. We love you with all our Hearts Mom! We would not be the women we have become without your love and guidance throughout the years. Our sweet memories will keep you alive forever in our hearts. She was predeceased by her husband, Wallace (Wally) A. Marlar, to whom she was married on April 21, 1955. She was predeceased by her first child, Susan Marie, her parents, Alma and Percy Roberts and her three siblings, Thelma Panter, James Percy Roberts and James Bob Roberts. She is survived by her two daughters Dawn Marlar and Kelli Marlar, and her various nieces and nephews along with their spouses, children and grandchildren. A Memorial Gathering will take place at Stanfill Funeral Home in Pinecrest on Friday, April 16 from 5-8 and her Memorial Service will be at St Thomas Lutheran Church, 17700 Old Cutler Road, Palmetto Bay, FL on Saturday, April 17 at 12PM. Her interment will be at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South at 2PM and after this service, there will be a late afternoon luncheon at St Thomas Lutheran Church.
