Tribute

Frederick Roger DellaCamera, 82 died of pancreatic cancer on April 7th, 2021 at his home in Miami. He was born in October of 1938 in New Haven, Connecticut the son of Dominic and Julia DellaCamera. Fred graduated from Wilbur Cross High School, New Haven, CT, Class of 1957. Fred served with the US army in Hawaii. Upon discharge from the army Fred married Anne Patzke they were married for 25 years before divorcing in 1990. They remained close friends up until his time of death. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings Dominic Jr., Frankie, and Mary.   Fred is survived by siblings Florence, Julian and Anthony, his wife Anne, his daughters Carla and Dana, and his 3 grandchildren Isaiah, James, and Alana as well as many nieces and nephews he saw often.

Fred enjoyed many things including baseball, football, bowling, and dancing. He was a line dance instructor for many years. Fred was a huge Boston Red Sox fan and never missed an opportunity to see them play. Fred was a member of the Elk’s club NO. 948 and of the Moose lodge NO. 2086.

A funeral mass will be held on April 13th, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Rosary Saint Richard Catholic Church located at 7500 SW 152 street, Palmetto Bay FL 33157. Casket viewing will be held prior to the service. Internment will take place following the Mass at Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn, 27100 Old Dixie Hwy, Naranja, FL 33032.

The family will receive guests at 3 pm at the family home located at 9222 SW 182 Street, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to The American Cancer Society.
