Fokas Drakalovich

November 26, 1938 ~ December 5, 2020 (age 82) 82 Years Old

Tribute

Fokas. Father, Husband, Papou. Born in Constantinople in 1938, he grew up in his neighborhood, Ortaköy, with his parents and two elder brothers. From a young age, he had an affinity for the sea. Upon receiving his education and meeting the love of his life Lydia, they wed in 1965 and had their first, Sebastian. Three years later, he would move to Vancouver, Canada with his family to accept a job at Olympic Airways as a station manager. After four more years, the family would welcome a daughter, Olga. Fokas would work his way up the ladder with the airlines, finally settling in Miami, FL in 1980, where he would live for the next 40 years. As his children grew up and began leading successful lives on their own, he would take comfort on going out on his boat “Agape” at nearly every opportunity, often with his growing family. Fokas would spend his last decade in retirement with an easy and comfortable life.
He is survived by his wife Lydia, his children Sebastian and Olga, and his grandchildren Kyriakos, Juliette, and Jake.
