Elvira Rita Herold

Elvira Rita (“Elvirita”) de la Guardia Herold was welcomed into Heaven at age 99 on June 11, 2021. She was born in Havana, Cuba on May 22, 1922 to Julian de la Guardia and Elvira Primelles. Elvirita was a devout Catholic, lifelong adventurer, and self-proclaimed graduate from the School of Life who was happiest surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children, Michael (Mercy), Robert (Fred), and Sylvia (Nick); grandchildren, Nicole (Colin), Andrew (Katie), Patty, Jessie, Katherine, and Jenny; and great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Emma. She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Wolfgang, and her siblings Graziella, Julian, and Andres. Visitation will be at Stanfill Funeral Home on June 15th from 5 to 9 pm. A funeral mass will be held at the Church of the Epiphany on June 16th at 11 am.
