Elsie Marie Sickafoose passed away on January 23, 2020 at age 98.
Born on October 23rd, 1921 in Canton Ohio to Emil and Elsie Gussett.
As a child and teenager, Elsie lived in Canton Ohio where she met and then married her first love Francis DeLambert (Frenchy) on May 15th, 1937. Together they ventured to Ontario Canada where they opened Maiden Bay Fish Camp, which they owned and operated for several years also venturing in the winters to Big Pine Key Florida where they built homes and developed Lambert Subdivision.
Seven years after Frenchy's passing Elsie was reunited with an old friend Donald Sickafoose after his wife's passing. Having already been friends for years it was a welcomed companionship for both with lots in common.
Elsie and Don were married on November 22, 1990 in Magnolia Ohio where he resided and owned Magnolia Drag Strip and Sickafoose Oil. Together they traveled the world and resided between Ohio and Florida until Don's passing in 2009.
Elsie was a charter member of the Big Pine Key Moose Lodge 1585, a member of the Marathon Keyettes and also The Organ Teas.
We will remember Elsie's smile and the twinkle in her beautiful blue eyes.
