Eleonora Mortalo

MORTALO
Eleonora (Abbondanza) Mortalo, passed away suddenly on Saturday November 10, 2018 at her home in Miami.

Eleonora was born in Cretone, Italy on September 10, 1928, daughter of Vito Abbondanza and Maria Della Monica.
Eleonora and her deceased husband Pietro Mortalo together raised a daughter, Maria-Antonietta and a son Vito Mortalo. The family moved to many countries for Pietro’s work, living in Caracas, Venezuela, Roma, Italy and many places in the United States. Eleanora was known for her kindness, her cooking and love of family.
Eleonora leaves behind her son Vito and his wife Barbara Mortalo, her son-in-law, Jean Mamert and grandchildren Maureen and her husband Brian Jordan, Pietro and his wife Lara Mortalo, Maria and her husband Marc Hart, Michael and his wife Nikki Mortalo, Vito Mortalo and Eleonora Benas (Mortalo), and Celia Mamert, as well as 12 great-grandchildren; Kevin, Mia, Jonah, Riley, Gabriella, Vito, Aidan, Mya, Kaia, Leonardo, Ava, Andy. She still has a home in Cretone Italy where she also leaves behind her brother Bruno and his wife Peppa Abbondanza, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. She was loved and will be missed by all.
A visitation will be held on Friday November 16, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm and a Mass on Saturday November 17, 2018 at 11am, both at Saint Louis Catholic Church at 7270 S.W. 120 St.
