Edward “Eddie” Flynn, age 68,  passed away after a brave struggle with cancer surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 2, 2017.  Eddie was born on Park Avenue in Coconut Grove, Florida to Captain Charles Flynn, Miami Fire Department and Helen Stewart Flynn on September 24, 1949.  Eddie truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures by enjoying a childhood of fishing, diving and playing sports.  Eddie was a star football player at Coral Gables Sr. High with his favorite coach and mentor, Coach Kotys.   He continued to enjoy sports and especially Nascar Racing.  You could find Dana, the love of his life & Ed enjoying their season tickets to all the Homestead Races supporting Dale Earnhart Sr. #3, his favorite driver.   After attending Miami Dade College, Eddie founded Edward Flynn Contracting and Property Management.  Eddie is survived by Dana Ketcham,  his oldest sister Mary Catherine Hankamer and her husband Edmond, his nieces Deborah Gilkey (Randy),  Dr. Kimberly Hankamer-Sauer, (Robert)   Angela Flynn and nephew Billy Boyd.  Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Charles Jr., and sister, Frances. Eddie touched many lives and will be remembered as a loving boyfriend, brother, and friend.
