Dorothy I. Cesarano

July 6, 1930 ~ September 28, 2021 (age 91) 91 Years Old

Tribute

Cesarano, née Airth, Dorothy, 91, passed away September 28th, 2021 after a long and fulfilling life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis “Frank” Cesarano. Dorothy was born July 6, 1930 in Byron, New York to David and Mabel, née Kryman, Airth. She was the youngest of three children; her brother, Harold and sister, Alberta preceded her in death. She also had three nieces and two great-nephews.
She was married to Frank for over 52 years, a marriage that gave us the example of love’s longevity and commitment. Together they raised five children, were blessed with five grandchildren, and more recently, two great-grandchildren.
Dorothy had a longtime connection to St. Louis Church in Miami, having converted to Catholicism later in life. This is the church to which she and her husband brought their children each Sunday. Her son and daughter were both married there and her husband and mother-in-law had their funerals at St. Louis.
As a member of the church she volunteered at the coffee bar, the library, for the Festival for the Poor and served as an usher for many years. She considered many of the priests personal friends, including Father Kish, Father Armando, Father Paul and many others. When her children were younger she volunteered at Epiphany School, and was an active member of a women’s bowling league.
Dorothy went to our Lord Jesus Christ quietly and on her own terms. Our family knows her husband and family were waiting to greet her. While we know Dorothy was an imperfect person, she has now been made perfect and is at peace. She will be remembered as a mom, nana, great-grand-nana, wife and friend, supporting us, praying for us and always saying, “If you need anything, just let me know.”
