Doris W. Smith

Doris W. Smith, 91, passed away peacefully July 18, 2018. She was preceded in death by husband, George Dewey Smith, three brothers and one sister. She is survived by daughter, Annita (Bernard) Lewis; son Byron (Brenda) Smith; granddaughters, Ashlee (Philip) Casarino, Tracee Smith, and Rebekah (Stephen) Duncan; grandson, George (Melissa) Lewis; and six great-grandchildren. Doris was a long-time member of South Miami First Baptist Church, then of Fellowship Church of Miami. She logged more than 3,000 volunteer hours at the Miami Veterans Hospital. Friends are welcome to visit at Stanfill Funeral Home, 10545 S. Dixie Hwy, Miami, Tuesday, July 24, 6:00-900pm. Interment will be in Easley, SC, July 28. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the VA Hospital or the Shriner’s Hospital.
