Donald (Don) Douglas WIlson Jr.
May 13, 1956- February 16, 2019
Don Wilson, 62, of Miami, Florida, died unexpectedly Saturday, February 16, 2019, after a brief illness. He lived in his beloved South Miami, Florida his whole life.
Don is survived by his two children, Meghan Wilson and Danny Wilson; his sister and brother-in-law, Melanie Vaughn and Gary Nyman; his two step-children, Anthony Ouertani, and Samantha Ouertani; his grand-daughter, Emma Rose Wilson; his cousin, David Wilson; his nephew, Christopher Vaughn and his best friend, Squibby.
Don loved numbers and guns. He grew a successful accounting firm in South Florida starting in 1980. He was an avid shooter and competed in regional and national tournaments. His interests were diverse, including archery, tropical plants, genealogy, art collecting and travel. Recently, he began fostering boxer dogs. He loved mangos!
Visitation will be held at the Stanfill Funeral Home, 10545 S. Dixie Highway, Miami, FL 33156, from 5-8 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2019. Burial will be 11am Saturday, February 23, 2019, Woodlawn Park North Cemetery, 3260 S.W. 8 St., Miami, FL 33135.
