Denise D. Prusner

PRUSNER, Denise Rhodes, 65, longtime resident of Coral Gables, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Bill; daughter, Margaret; son, William; sister, Cynthia Kinney; and brother, Eugene Rhodes. Denise was a special education teacher and guidance counselor for 38 years with Miami-Dade Public Schools. Her love and passion for helping children achieve their highest potential was a defining characteristic in both her life and career. She enjoyed cooking, decorating, gardening and sunrises over Miami Beach. At her request, there will be no service. In Denise’s memory, the family suggests that contributions be made to VITAS Hospice, whose care helped her make her transition with comfort and dignity.
