Deirdre Flower Critchlow passed away on April 18, 2018, Deirdre's courageous battle with cancer
ended at home with her husband and children by her side, exchanging their final vows of eternal love. Born 7/17/53 to Frances Flower (later Bechtel) and John Flower in Pasadena, CA., Deirdre graduated from Hillsdale College in Michigan. Deirdre worked for Delta Airlines, when she met and married Rick, her husband of 40 years. Shortly thereafter, she gave birth to the two treasures of her life, Courtney and Caitlin. From the earliest moments of their lives, she selflessly dedicated herself to their well-being with unbridled love and energy. The girls remember that she took them everywhere she went and created a loving world surrounding them. Later in life she attended O’More College of Design where she pursued her love of interior decorating and brought that love into the decoration of her homes. Through her life, Deirdre’s spirit nourished her children and three wonderful grandchildren. She was deeply adored by her family and friends. Unfortunately, Deirdre was diagnosed with cancer nearly a decade ago. She fought courageously, in immeasurable pain, but without complaint to her family and friends. Her love and legacies will live on in all whose lives she blessedly touched. She will be missed.
Survived by husband Richard H. Critchlow, daughter Caitlin Critchlow, daughter & son in law Courtney Critchlow Krediet & Christoffel Krediet, grandchildren Gerrit, Quinn and Schuyler Krediet, brother Stephen Flower, and 5 Chihuahuas. A Memorial service will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 5:00 PM at Saint Thomas Episcopal Church, 5690 SW Kendall Drive, Miami.
