David Wayne Melton

MELTON, David Wayne, 40, of Miami, Florida was received into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, October 24, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born on December 15, 1980, one of three sons to the late John and Connie Melton.

David served in the Army, fighting for our country in the Iraq war. He was well respected and loved by his fellow brothers. He had many trades as a pipelayer and skilled maintenance worker at the VA Hospital in Miami, Florida. Very prideful in his work and all that he did. He was a very talented musician who taught himself how to play all instruments and a gifted, imaginative artist as well.

David had been diagnosed with PTSD and a manic depressive disorder, who battled with drug addiction. He succumbed to the deadly combo of drugs causing his heart to stop at such a young age.

He is survived by his brothers, Kenny and wife, Irene of Crestview, Fl and Matthew Melton, of Crestview, Fl and sister, Jennifer Flo and husband, Jeff, of Miami, Fl. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and girlfriend, Maria Pena.

A celebration of life and memorial will be held on November 13, 2021 at 5:30pm at Stanfill Funeral Home, 10545 South Dixie Hwy, Miami, Fl 33156
