I met Doc R, my name for him, in 1985. I have been his CPA for 32 years. He was a TRUE Southern gentleman, a friend to all, always with a smile, a word of encouragement. He wanted everyone to succeed and found pleasure in the little things. I learned and shared many things with him thru the years. His passing has left a real hole in my life which is hard to and most likely I will never be able to describe. I miss you , my friend.

Dr. Rainey was such a special caretaker for first our dogs and now our cats. He treated them with such love as if they were his own. Though he must have been very busy, he always took time to listen to us with a friendly ear not only if we had questions about their health/treatment but also about the funny little things that made them special to us. He cared. There are several veterinarians near us and many animal hospitals between our house and Dixie Animal Hospital but we never considered going anywhere else. No doubt he leaves an outstanding legacy for those who will follow in his footsteps at DAH. Like many others, we -- and our cats -- will miss him very much.
