SMITH, Colette, age 88, a longtime South Florida resident, passed away on March 29th at The Palace Coral Gables, where she had resided since 2014. Born in Brooklyn, she was a reading specialist and kindergarten teacher in Smithtown, Long Island, NY, where she and her (predeceased) husband, Warren F.X. Smith Sr. raised their 4 children. Predeceased also by son Warren Jr. and daughter Margie, she is survived by daughter Pamela and her husband Carlos Rodriguez; son Artie and his wife Missy; and daughter-in-law Cathleen Fox Smith. She is also mourned by her four grandchildren: Carlos Rodriguez Jr. (Johannah), Nina Rodriguez Dickson (Andrew),
Kevin Smith (Meredith), and Ryan Smith; and great-grandchildren Andres, Xavier and Lily Colette. A memorial gathering will take place from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, March 30th, with a Remembrance Service at 6:45 pm.
