Barry J. Fennell

Barry J. Fennell passed in peace Friday, October 8, 2021 at the age of 92. He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Alberta (McQuirter) Fennell and daughter Jeanne Marie Fennell. He was the loving father of Leslie (Arthur) Thornton, Barry (Catherine) Fennell and Jeffrey (Alexandra) Fennell. He was also the proud grandfather of Shane Hoppe, Stephanie, Jeffrey, Kevin, and Jessica Fennell.
Barry served in the US Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed at Keesler AFB in Biloxi Mississippi, where he taught electronics and radar. He later began a career with the US Weather Service and NOAA as an electronics technician on the Hurricane Hunter aircrafts. Upon retiring from NOAA he pursued a part time career selling real estate.
Barry will be fondly remembered by family and friends with a Memorial Mass on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 11:30 am. A short viewing prior to mass will begin at 11:00am. Our Lady of the Holy Rosary – St. Richards Catholic Church, 7500 SW 152 Street, Palmetto Bay.
