Barbara June Ray

Barbara June (BJ) Norkaitis Nielson Ray. She was born 1/14/1943 in Bridgeport, CT. BJ passed away peacefully 4/06/2022 in Miami, FL. She is survived by her husband, Mack Ray; 2 sons, Terry Bean (Lillian) & Steve Sisson; 4 grandchildren, Erika, Alex, Stephanie and John; 5 great grandchildren, Kimberly, Kaylee, Ryan, Riley and Brody; and her cat, Benjamin. BJ served in the U. S. Marines 1963-1964. She taught, volunteered and witnessed for our Lord Jesus Christ all her adult life. BJ would always start a conversation with the person in the checkout line next to her. Being around her Grand Children with their kids gave her great joy. She was a good friend to many people and Mack’s best friend. Funeral service will be at the Wayside Baptist Church, 7701 SW 98th Street, Miami, FL 33156 on Saturday, April 23, 2022 with viewing after 2 PM and the service at 3 PM. Burial service will be at the National Cemetery, 6501 State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449 on Friday, May 6, 2022 with the service at 2 PM.
