Arthur Chai-Onn

Chai-Onn, Arthur age 86, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 after a brief hospital stay. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica to Daisy and David Chai-Onn.   He was the 3rd of 7 children. He attended the Chinese Public School and St George’s College (high school).  In 1952, he matriculated to Yale University. He graduated in 1956 majoring in Political Science (Honors). His career began at the Jamaica Development Bank, eventually moving on to the newly created Jamaica Citizens Bank. Met his wife, Rosita, in Jamaica and married in 1965. In 1976, he emigrated to Miami with his wife, Rosita and 3 children, Roger, Ricardo and Robert. He and Rosita worked extremely hard to provide a wonderful home and educational opportunities for their children. Arthur was very dedicated to his family, friends and all who may have come to path - whether with a hand to guide you, wit for laughter and optimism or just a companion for a drink.
Arthur is pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Rosita.  He is also survived by his children Roger, Ricardo, Robert, Carol and Valerie; daughter-in law Susan, Kate, and Cathy; sons-in-law Scott and Guy; grandchildren Sebastian, Tyler, Abigail, Mason, Connor, Kieran, Riley, Calvin, Henry, Emily, Gavin, Dylan, Jade and Nicholas; siblings Edward, Shirley (deceased), Mavis (Fong-Yee), George, Michael and Dudley.
