Angelina "Angie" Mary Hearon, 93, of Aventura, Florida passed away of natural causes just after sunrise on March 10, 2021. Born in Newark, New Jersey on July 10, 1927, she lived the first 77 years of her life in New Jersey before moving to warm weather in August 2004.

Angie was the first child of Morris and Dora Cosenza. Married to Edward William Hearon on October 21, 1950, the couple had two sons, Bernard and William. Angie served as a recorder and assistant to the Register of the Essex County, New Jersey Register’s Office until her retirement. In 1992, Angie married Bernard Francis Hearon, becoming step-mother to Bernard's four children, John, Robert, Mary and Patricia, and step-grandmother to his eleven grandchildren. Angie was predeceased by her spouses Edward Hearon (1984) and Bernard Hearon (2001) and by her brother Charles Cosenza (1989).

Angie is survived by her sons Bernard Hearon (wife Linda) of Wichita, Kansas and William Hearon of Miami, Florida; her step-sons John Hearon (wife Jane) of Cranford, New Jersey and Robert Hearon (wife Debra) of Naples, Florida; and her step-daughters Mary Isabella (husband Matthew) of Sea Girt, New Jersey and Patricia Esler of Westfield, New Jersey. She is also survived by her sisters Marie Kennedy and Shirley Cerqua (brother-in-law Larry) who reside in Henderson, Nevada; her cousins Angela DiMartino McNasby and Alfred DiMartino; sisters of her late-husband Edward (Jeannie Lodato, Kay Hull and Mary Hearon); and numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

The professionals at Stanfill Funeral Homes in Miami, Florida prepared Angie for her final trip to New Jersey. Her viewing will be Monday, March 15, 2021 between 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Dooley’s Colonial Funeral Home, 556 Westfield Avenue, Westfield, New Jersey. Her funeral mass will be held on March 16, 2021 at 10:15 a.m. at St. Helen’s Church, 1600 Rahway Avenue, in Westfield, New Jersey. Angie will be interred at the Hollywood Memorial Park and Cemetery on Stuyvesant Avenue in Union, New Jersey.

Due to the Covid virus, it is the present intention to live stream the funeral mass and that information will be provided when available. The family understands if anyone is unable to attend the viewing or the mass due to the present health crisis.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Edward W. and Angelina M. Hearon Memorial Scholarship Fund at Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, New York, which fund gives preferential consideration to children of parents who are or have been in the construction trades.
