Sandy was like a second mom to me growing up and I will miss her sense of humor and her ability to make you smile. My sincere condolences to Kristin, Nicole, Kenny, and the rest of her family. I know how much she will be missed.

Sandy was a beautiful person, friend and neighbor. Always willing to do a favor or help out. I knew that if I needed someone to drive our kids to school last minute, I could count on her. And if you knew Sandy, she only made right hand turns so that was quite a favor!

Sandy was also one of our neighborhood data keepers. Frequently, if she saw us in the backyard, she would cut through our neighbor's yard to update us on the coming and goings on the block. This was always very interesting because Sandy was quite a talker and her stories were very animated and entertaining. I loved the way she would start out her sentences with my first name. I loved her deep, throaty laugh when her story was particularly funny ...which was frequently the case.

Sandy loved her pets, loved her Kenny and loved her girls. When Kristin and Nicole were young, she loved talking about how beautifully they danced and later when Nicole started playing the trumpet, how talented she was; what a great writer Kristin was. She was always so proud of them both and happy that both of her girls graduated from college and had very good jobs. Above all, I think knowing that her daughter's futures were secure made her so happy.

And her Kenny. How many times I would hear her say, Oh Kenny and give him a gentle slap on the arm. Her love for him was easy and obvious for everyone to see.

I could always count on her asking about my kids too and bragging on them as if they were her own. She would always make Wayne and I feel just as special with her compliments about things that weren't really that special, but it was sure nice to hear anyway.

I will miss talking to Sandy... She always made me laugh. I will miss her calling my name; miss her laugh and her stories; miss hearing about all the neighborhood news; miss her updates on Kenny, Kristin and Nicole. But mostly, I will miss knowing I can stop by and visit my dear friend.

Rest easy Sandy ...you will be missed. Hang in there Kenny, Kristin and Nicole - we love you and pray you find peace in the days to come.

Many fond memories of Sandy and I working together at Jeffersons dep't. store in early 70's. It was my first job and having Sandy there made it much easier for me. On days off we were horse buddies.
My deepest condolences to her beautiful family.
