Richard Karl Schubert passed away peacefully on March 17, 2017. Dick was born on March 30, 1935 in Racine, WI, but spent most of his adult life in Miami, FL. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Ann, his loving daughter Debbie Kacer (Mark) and his grandchildren Amanda (Mitch), Kevin and Brandon. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Janet Heller and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his son Scott.
Dick was an Army veteran and retired Sales Executive who had a very successful career at several major retail corporations. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather (lovingly referred to as “Pop-Pop”) and soon-to-be great grandfather of Mason Scott. Dick enjoyed home-cooked family meals and loved the family holiday traditions he created. He could always be found in the bleachers at the ball park, camera in hand. He was his grandchildren’s biggest fan.
Dick and Mary Ann lived in Palmetto Bay and he enjoyed working to make his yard the most beautiful in the neighborhood. Together they lived a life full of travel, including sailing on 48 cruises. His warm smile, positive outlook and friendly personality will be forever missed by all that knew him. We love you Dad and Pop-Pop.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christ The King Lutheran Church. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 24th from 6pm - 8pm at Stanfill. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 25th at 10 am at Christ The King Lutheran Church- 11295 SW 57 Ave.
