Maryann Bean died peacefully on January 18, 2018. She was born in Newark, NJ on May 28, 1934 to Frank and Catherine Nagengast. After attending St. Michael's School of Nursing, she resided in Miami, FL with her late husband, Raymond Bean.

She spent the first part of her life raising her 4 children, volunteering with the PTA, Girl Scouts and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation along with many other community activities.

After many years, she decided to go back into nursing, working with the Miami Dade Public Health Department. Her service to the community was a big part of her life.

Maryann is predeceased by her two sisters, Joan Sutherland and Catherine Fernicola. She is survived by her sister, Barbara O'Sullivan, her sons, Raymond (Jill), Jeffrey (Stephanie) and William (Wendy) and her daughter, Kathryn (Alex) along with 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was a devoted mother and friend. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 9am at Stanfill Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
