Mary Romeo, 93, of Miami, formerly of Paterson, NJ passed away on October 6, 2017. Born in Paterson, NJ, attended Central High School. In 1959, she moved with her husband and children to Miami.
She was a housewife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her pride and joy were her family. She was a mother to many of Anthony and Felicia’s childhood and University of Miami friends.
Her love for reading was well known by family, friends and the Felix Varela faculty, to whom she gave all of her books to read and enjoy. The Romeo and Christin family would like to thank her special caretaker, Marisel Miranda for being such a caring and loving individual.
Mary was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Dominic, this past May. She is survived by her son, Anthony Romeo (Martha); daughter, Felicia Romeo Christin (Nick); 5 grandchildren, Nicole, Michael (Natasha) and Catherine Christin, Marianne Romeo (Giacomo) and Laura Nuttle (Philip); and 4 great grandchildren, Tatiana, Mia, Frida and Henry. The family will receive friends from 3-5pm on Sunday, 10/8 at Stanfill Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10am on Monday, 10/9 at Woodlawn Park South, 11655 SW 117 Avenue.
