James Eugene Angus, 50, of Pontiac, Michigan peacefully entered into rest with our Lord after his battle with Cancer at his home in Miami, Florida, in the early morning hours September 27th, 2017. He was surrounded by his wife Jan Roy, his son James Angus, his dogs, Princess and Nova, and his compassionate Hospice Team. James was born in Pontiac, MI to his parents Eugene and Rosie Lee Jones. He spent his last years of life on Earth in Miami, Florida with his wife Jan.
James had 5 children including sons DeJonique Chappell, James Angus, Javale Angus, daughters Jasmine (Tryl) Hartfield and JaShie Angus from his first marriage to Cathy Angus. James was a caring father, friend, grandfather and neighbor.
James went by names Tater, JD, Jay, Junior or Junebug. He would often refer to himself as Big Papi and often joked with family and friends about being a skillful vocalist as he composed short “corny” songs. He was a Master of common sense and a natural born problem solver.
James loved to add value in his work place and thrived off of the opportunity to provide service to anyone he felt he could help. James had an infinity for fishing, cooking and pets. He loved a clean home and always expressed his desire to provide hospitality to those he loved and cared for. He pushed himself to give all that he could with all of his effort until God welcomed him home in His perfect timing.
