I ran across George’s research articles in ResearchGate. I wondered what he has been up to and Googled him. I was sad to see of his passing. He was instrumental in my 30 year career in cardiac rehab. He convinced me Not to attend Wisconsin-Lacrosse. He was a great mentor. Sorry for your loss.

Susan UNI 1985.

To a real man who stepped up when a 10 year old boy needed a good man and role model in his life all those years ago. I'm glad I got to tell you that before you had to go. Love and Prayers to the Lesmes family.
Til we meet again, thanks Coach.

I just read about George’s passing on line and I am very sorry to hear about this. George was an important part of my life at a pivotal time in my life. When I moved to Chicago it was good to know I had another Queens NYC guy to “ show me the ropes.” George always opened his home to me. Invited me over many an evening to watch a game or just to talk. It was always obvious how much George doted on his family and how much he lived his kids. That’s a window to a mans soul. He was a good man, and that how I remember him. I always thought we’d see each other again, laugh and talk about the old days. Maybe at another time, in another place we will.

I was truly saddened when I found out of George's passing. He was a great mentor and boss. George always found a way to get more out of you, than you thought you could do. He loved his family, and many of us got to know them. May our lord bless George's family, comfort them in this time of sorrow.

So sorry to hear this news. He was always straight and to the point! He always told me to email him bullet points and he still would probably only read the first one or two! Family was everything to him ! Prayers for the family.

George was a wonderful person, terrific boss, and a committed family man. He deeply loved his family, and his wife, Jacey, was the love of his life. As a boss, he always wanted the best for me. I will always remember his kindness, thoughtfulness, fairness, positivity, and creativity. May God grant him eternal rest and may his memory be eternal.
